   Aunty Kath's Cookie Dough

Where can I buy Aunty Kath’s?

At selected Coles supermarkets and some independents.

Jensens Organic can also be purchased online through our preferred online retailer – Ethical buying. Please click here to see their website. http://www.ethicalbuying.com.au

How long can I keep it for?
All cookie dough chubs are marked with a Best Before date. This date should be adhered to

Do I need to keep it in the fridge?
Yes. It can also be frozen for up to two months if it is placed in the freezer before the "use-by" date printed on the package. To thaw, we recommend placing it in the refrigerator overnight.

Is it Gluten free?
Sorry, we no longer sell a gluten free variety.

Should I slice or spoon the dough?
Slicing the dough will produce crisper cookies than those made by spooning the dough.
When slicing dough you may cut through the M & Ms or choc chips. Well-chilled dough is easier to slice. If spooning dough leave the product out of the refrigerator for 10 minutes for a slightly softer dough.

Can I microwave the dough?
Only after the cookies have been baked in a normal oven for a special treat such as a marshmallow sandwich. The uneven heat of a microwave prevents the dough from browning and baking evenly.
For marshmallow cookie sandwiches – Pop a marshmallow on top of a cooked cookie, microwave for 10 seconds then top with another cookie.

What type of baking tray should I use?
There are three kinds of baking tray and each will give you different results when you bake.

Which baking tray do you have?

Insulated Cookies will not brown as much on the bottom. Cookie dough may also spread more.
Non-stick or Dark Aluminium Cookies may brown more quickly so you may need to reduce the oven temperature by 25 degrees.
Shiny Aluminium or Stainless Steel These should produce the best results. Delicate, even browning should be achieved.

What if I forget to refrigerate the cookie dough?
Discard cookie dough that has been unrefrigerated for more than two hours.

What is the best way to store baked cookies?
Cool cookies thoroughly then store each kind of cookie separately. In dry weather, crisp cookies store best in a container with a loose-fitting lid. In humid weather you need a tight closing container. Soft cookies should always be stored in a container with a tight-fitting cover.

What if I cannot find my favourite Aunty Kath’s Cookie Dough product?
Aunty Kath’s would like all stores to carry all our products. Unfortunately, this doesn't always happen. We recommend you express your interest in a particular product to your local store manager.
